Robert Podewils

Robert Podewils is a senior advisor for Sperry Van Ness/Lighthouse Commercial Realty specializing in retail development and the sales and leasing of commercial properties. With more than 19 years of commercial real estate experience, he has secured a sale and lease career transaction volume of $225 million.

Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Podewils served as senior broker for Colliers International, a global real estate services firm. He also worked for J&B Development and Management, a Charlotte-based real estate development firm, where he was responsible for all commercial leasing and sales activity for the Harrisburg Town Center, the firm's largest mixed-use development property.

Previously, he served as partner and broker for Sykes International, an international real estate advisory firm, where he was responsible for conducting market surveys, negotiating office and retail space acquisitions, and administering financial analysis. While there, his client list included: British Petroleum, Bank of Scotland, Oxford University Press, Legg Mason Wood Walker and numerous regional corporate entities.

Podewils is a member of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Institute and is a candidate for the prestigious CCIM designation. He is also a member of Charlotte Regions Commercial Board of Realtors. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Pace University, New York.
